The Career Coaching service for 2nd level students is designed for students who want to improve their self-awareness with regards to their interests, personality, abilities and values.
This programme can assist you in identifying what you are looking for in a higher level course and career.
We then go on to explore the best course of action necessary to effectively pursue your areas of interest.

Career Interview:
The first part of the career consultation begins with a "getting to know you questionnaire". This is a very important part of career planning because it gives the client an opportunity to really think about how school is going, what subjects are going well, what could be going better and where the client sees himself after Leaving Cert.
This in-depth interview is then followed with a career assessment using the most up to date Career tools, exclusive to Career Coach Clients. The purpose of these tools is to help assess the clients Interests, Personality, Values and abilities/aptitudes. When this part of the assessment is completed the Career Coach's next step is to discuss the information results with the client and coach the client through the options generated.
By the end of the consultation the Client will have a list of options generated by the interview and assessment and guidelines on how to access the information to bring the client closer to their goal.
What then?
A follow up appointment for the following week is then reserved for the Client to research and think about the options discussed. This is an essential part of the service. The follow up establishes clear set goals. Relevant, practical advice on obtaining further information on courses available is given. All C.A.O and U.C.A.S. applications are covered.
A Comprehensive report is then tailored to suit your individual needs covering all career and course possibilities and effective strategies required to achieve your goal.
